I love dropping in to see Emma at her cake shop here in Pukekohe Strawberry Sky, her store is always full of delicious baking smells and she always has some new designs and creations to share and admire. See some of the photos below or her fabulous work.
Apart from making fabulous cakes Emma also does a great range of lessons. I wanted to share this with you as we get asked so many times about where to go for good lessons.
The type of lessons she coves are Back to Basics, Chocolate Parcels, Flowering Cupcakes, Bridal Flowers, Creative Cupcakes, Chocolate Painting, Modelling day, Sugar Flowers (Rose and Peony) .
The best of all is there are weekend classes and also night ones so those of you who work during the week like me do not have to miss out.
The courses are limited to 6-8 people so that everyone can get the maximum benefit and have plenty of fun at the same time! Each lesson includes a combination of professional demonstrations and hands-on practise and you can enjoy full use of all our equipment for the duration of the lesson.
So if want to learn more about this wonderful art from a very talented lady click here to check out the wonderful lessons she is running at the moment at Strawberry Sky.

We have some awesome Easter goodies this year, too many to list so I have picked some of my favourites out for you.
Each year at our house we make chocolates with added homemade hokeypokey or marshmallow and they always go down an absolute treat with the recipients. But this year I thought I would add some coloured ones to the mix so was very pleased when I saw the Easter Candy Making Kit from Wilton come in so I grabbed one for myself. My children eye it up every day, it's going to be a long wait till Easter! The kit includes everything you need with 3 different moulds full of fun designs, candy melts, lollipop sticks, decorating brush and party bags great value at $25.50.

I just love this new book "1000 ideas for decorating cupcakes, cookies and cakes" and was so excited when it arrived.
It is a sugar-coated feast for the eyes and imagination. An exciting collection of photos presented in glorious full colour of beautiful, outrageous and deliciously decorated desserts of all kinds from decorators around the world.
It also features photos from one of our very talented members Vanessa Iti of Bella cupcakes. One of her photos (the gorgeous flower cupcake ) is also featured on the front page centre bottom . Check out her site she does some amazing work http://www.bellacupcakes.co.nz/
I can spend ages looking through this book again and again great when you need some inspiration for your next project.

Happy new year everyone! I hope you had a great break. It always seems to go so fast! We are excited to be back again though and have some absolutely fabulous things happening this year with many additions coming up to our product range and a very exciting function on our website which we will be revelling next month.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We had fun making our gingerbread house with our Wilton Gingerbread Pan. This was much easier than ANY gingerbread house I have done before no measuring to get the roof right!. The pan was completely non stick so I just used my favourite gingerbread recipe and pushed the dough into the pan. The indentations it made in it were amazing. The only little mishap was when my 2 year old decided to help himself to a piece of the roof from the kitchen but a big strawberry lolly quickly fixed that one.
I have a put a photo above as promised, my 4 year old thought it was great fun especially when Uncle Shane (hand on right) decided to pipe Santa stuck in the Chimney.
